We at Dr. Shivani Bhatt Charitable Foundation (SBCF) are keen to fulfill Shivani’s dreams and thus education of the underprivileged is one of our prime projects. We would like to extend our support to these children of primary school, high school, college level and even at the post graduate level.
On the auspicious day of Dr Shivani’s birthday, 11th July 2020, SBCF adopted 15 girl students of standard 6th, 7th & 8th of D N High School, Anand. These girls are bright in studies but are underprivileged and are in need of support. SBCF, along with the authorities of Charotar Education Society, Anand, will support their education financially every year. Along with this, SBCF will also take care of their medical ailments free of cost in different hospitals which are affiliated to SBCF.
SBCF has also helped various students who were orphaned due to Covid Pandemic. These students were helped in terms of their college fees or hostel fees or for their medical ailments. Totally 8 students have been helped in this aspect. Also, SBCF has given financial aid for education of 10 underprivileged girl students of a primary school run by a trust.
After intense discussion, SBCF came out with the idea of STUTI (Shivani Teachers Undertaking Training Initiative). Under STUTI, it is planned to hold training programme for teachers of various schools in the core subjects. The training would be imparted by senior & experienced teachers with vast knowledge in their particular subjects as well as who are experienced in training other teachers. The trainers will train the teachers to make the subject interesting for the students and also would increase the interactive skill development. The training of teachers in turn would benefit the future of many students positively.
The first STUTI project was launched on 20th August 2020. It was conducted by Mrs. Manjiri Patil, a renowned and eminent Mathematician, who runs her own company CONCEPT MATH SOLUTIONS. She trained teachers in the subject of Mathematics on 20th August 2020 as well as on 10th September 2020.
STUTI continued its journey in the subject of Hindi with Mrs Rekha Shukla, training teachers in Hindi on Hindi Diwas – 14/09/2020. Mrs Rekha Shukla is a senior and experienced Hindi teacher. She has worked in Kendriya Vidyalaya, V V Nagar and Anandalaya, Anand as Head of Hindi Department. She has conducted many training programs for teachers during her tenure. She took one more STUTI session on 29th September 2020.
The legacy of STUTI was further carried out by Mr. Amalkumar Singh. – a senior and well experienced teacher with around 18 years experience in teaching. He runs WISDOM TUTORIALS and conducts classes for 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th for both CBSE as well as GSEB. He trained teachers in the subject of Science on 8th October 2020 & 13th October 2020.
STUTI, next incorporated the subject English. This was carried out by Prof. Dr. Sulabha Natraj – an Education Consultant and Hon Director, Shri H M Patel English Medium Schools Complex, Dharmaj. She has received President’s Award for an essay on Knowledge Revolution and have also recipient of many other awards like MHRD Award, Best Educational Management Award and four awards by NCERT.
The first session of STUTI for English was done on 06/01/2021. As the covid cases were rising and schools were practically closed , the second session of STUTI -English for municipal schools of Anand district was held on 15/12/2021.
The response of teachers who were trained was amazing. They all appreciated the sessions of STUTI very much. Besides private school teachers, the municipal school teachers were also included in the sessions of STUTI. SBCF is extremely thankful to Mr Ketan Patel, Secretary, Charotar Education Society and to Mr Mahesh Patel, Campus Director, D N High School, for providing excellent venue and logistics support for all the programs of STUTI.
