Through Dr. Shivani Bhatt Charitable Foundation (SBCF), Colour blindness screening and counselling have been conducted for more than 10000 school children 👨‍🎓🧑‍🎓and identified 132 children with colour blindness. We have provided them psychological support, career counselling and labelled stationaries.

We request the inclusion of color-blindness screening in 👨‍🏫routine school health check-ups. One simple test 🔴🟢can protect millions of futures.

On 11th of July, Dr Shivani Bhatt Charitable Foundation (SBCF) conducted a Cervical Vaccination Camp. Total 80 girls students were administered the HPV vaccine.

On 11th July, SBCF conducted the camp for Registration of Stem Cell Donors at four different colleges of Anand.

It was a mammoth task, moving from one college to another, delivering the lecture & sensitising students about stem cell & its importance. We are pleased to announce that we received tremendous response & got 281 students registered for the same.

Our project chairman Dr. Niraj Shah has worked tirelessly and with utmost commitment to make this possible.

11th of July - Birth Anniversary of Dr Shivani Bhatt

To commemorate her sweet memory, SBCF has planned following activities on her birthday.

1. Vaccination Camp. Total 117 girls students will be vaccinated with HPV Vaccine for prevention of cervical cancer.

2. Bone Marrow Transplant donors’ Registration Camp with the help of DKMS, Chennai. The DNA samples of volunteers will be collected & registered for future stem cell donation. We have planned for more than 200 college students for this activity.

3. Drawing Competition & Felicitation of Head Girl & Head Boy at Anandalaya School, where Shivani did her schooling. Incidentally her & School’s Birthday falls on the same day - 11th July.

4.⁠Kids of our own Shivani Mobile School (SMS) will be taken for movie “ सितारे ज़मी पर”, followed by delicious lunch on 6th July.

5. Shivani Memorial Lecture Series. Under this, we have organised an enlightened talk by Dr Bhagyeshbhai Jha on Shri Bhagwad Geeta on 13th July.

SBCF OBSERVERSHIP PROGRAM

This program, which is the first project of SBCF. In fact, it was thought of well before the establishment of SBCF and was launched way back in January 2020.

Whole SBCF was conceptualised by starting free Observerships after Dr. Shivani’s heavenly abode journey in November 2019.

It started with 1 student per month, passing through 2 years of COVID standstill & this month in June 2025 reached 24 students per month.

The journey has been phenomenal, so the students too, but all credit goes to our very beloved Consultants in USA , who selflessly and untiringly were always ready to accept students despite of last minute hiccups due to cancellations & new postings.

If we count these many students for free Observerships & average amount for paid rotations is 2000 USD, one can be easily astonished by the huge seva done by our most respected Consultants in USA.

This leads to saving of significant foreign exchange of our beloved country…!

This too shall be considered as an act of patriotism by them .

ANNUAL THALASSEMIA CAMP

Dr Shivani Bhatt Charitable Foundation (SBCF) feels humbled by organising its annual camp for Thalassemic children of Anand & Nadiad district, under its Shivani Thalassamia Outreach Programme (STOP).

This camp is for reviewing the registered thalassemic patients as regards to their follow up & also evaluation of newly added patients.

Our mentor, guide & advisor Nikhil Sheth, an eminent paediatrician of Rajkot will be conducting evaluation of patients. We are extremely honoured to have him with us.

We take this opportunity to thank all our Paediatrician friends from Anand & Nadiad district whose enthusiasm & dedication for the underprivileged thalassemia patients is beyond description. We also thank Mr. Yogesh Soni & Arya Samaj Anand, who are instrumental in organising this camp.
