Hello,
This is my experience at Bay Area Heart and HCA Houston Clear Lake Hospital, Texas rotating with Dr. Shah.
Medical professionals I followed: Dr. Shah, Dr. Uricchio, Dr. Almanfii, Dr. J. Shah, Ms. Melissa (NP), Ms. Renee (NP)
Procedures to observe: peripheral and coronary artery angiography, angioplasty, and stent placement, Mitra-clip, watchman, TAVR, transesophageal echo, TTE, calcium scan, nuclear stress test (with gadolinium and rubidium), exercise stress test
*Electronic health system *: eClinicalWorks
The entire staff at the clinic is very cordial. A special mention to Ms. Merikay who is one of the most friendliest people I’ve met. Super helpful, be it lunch or transportation.
I had to take a leave in between for my research workshop and Dr. Shah was very easygoing about it.
Dr. Shah makes sure that when at the clinic, we are continuously learning, observing patient care, learning about different diagnostic modalities. I would also suggest, do read all the posters hung on the walls and go through all the brochures for patients. There’s a wealth of knowledge in those.
My experience with SBCF
From the time I approached SBCF, till today, everyone has been warm and very helpful. It is almost impossible to get a paid USCE let alone a free one as an IMG post-Covid. Being extremely busy physicians
themselves, Dr. Hemanth, Dr. Girish, and Dr. Shah, all make it a point that we get an opportunity to learn. On my first day of arrival in Texas, Dr. Bhatt helped me with accommodation and made sure I am safe and comfortable.
Thank you sir 🙌🏼
Thank you SBCF!! ♥️
