My experience with Dr. Shah was truly exceptional. Initially, I had reservations about this rotation due to my limited confidence in cardiology. However, this rotation completely transformed my perspective on the field. Dr. Shah graciously allowed me to observe various procedures, including stent placements, renal artery stenosis diagnosis, atherectomy, and pericardiocentesis, among others.
I was fortunate to attend rounds at HCA Clear Lake Hospital and observe stress testing, echocardiograms, and patient history-taking. Additionally, Dr. Shah invited us to participate in an engaging talk on Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), which I found particularly interesting. I also had the opportunity to work on a case report involving a rare condition.
Beyond professional development, Dr. Shah's enthusiasm and energy motivated me to strive for excellence in my future endeavors. Throughout the rotation, I gained invaluable firsthand experience in both inpatient and outpatient care, deepening my appreciation for cardiology. It is inspiring to see an alumnus like him excel in this field, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have learned from him.
I sincerely appreciate the entire SBCF community for its unwavering support and generosity throughout this journey. Their guidance was instrumental at every stage, from offering heartfelt encouragement to assisting me in securing comfortable accommodation. Their kindness and dedication made a significant difference, ensuring I felt welcomed, supported, and well-prepared. Their efforts not only eased my transition but also created a lasting impact, for which I am profoundly thankful.
